Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Application Performance Monitoring & Observability:

Monitor critical applications using Cisco APM, and other observability tools to ensure performance and availability as part of BAU support.

Instrument, configure, and customize real user monitoring (RUM) agents for both web and mobile apps.

Analyze RUM data with query languages or BI tools to uncover insights and recommend improvements.

Utilize session-replay tools to diagnose user behavior and performance issues.

Develop custom queries and metrics to enhance visibility into key problem areas in customer environments.

Build and maintain dashboards, alerts, KPIs, and performance trend reports.

Support and maintain health of monitoring platforms, including regular patching and upgrades.

Create knowledge base articles, training materials for clients and internal teams.

Provide technical training to clients and mentoring to team members on performance monitoring best practices.

Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams for end-to-end performance troubleshooting and tuning.

Engage in incident response and troubleshooting for clients.

Participate in on-call rotations and flexible maintenance windows.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proficiency in full-stack monitoring and observability practices, including log tracing, metrics, and real-time dashboards.

Experience with modern technologies such as containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift), VMs, serverless functions, and CI/CD tools.

Good understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including networking, compute, storage, and security services.

Good foundation in networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), servers, web applications, and databases (Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc).

At least 5+ years of experience implementation and support of Cisco APM, Dynatrace, Datadog or equivalent in enterprise environments.

Experience in DevOps engineering using web technologies (Java, Python, Ruby, Go, .NET, PHP, Angular, React, HTML, CSS).

Experience with mobile frameworks (Cordova, Flutter, React Native, Xamarin, .NET MAUI) development.

Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to document processes and technical solutions clearly and accurately.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.

Experience in WOG environments.

At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco APM, Dynatrace, Datadog or equivalent (AppDynamics Certification preferred).

Certifications for the above will be highly advantageous.
