Software Engineer - Python - Pharmaceutical Sector

About the position

Can you imagine contributing to a pharmaceutical internal platform that supports critical business and engineering processes?

Join our expert team to work on a Sector Pharmaceutical, contributing to the development of an internal platform that integrates applications, cloud services, APIs and engineering tools.

You will apply your knowledge of Python, FastAPI and REST APIs to build scalable backend services and modern web applications.

You will also work with AWS, CI/CD and modern frontend technologies to ensure reliable and continuous delivery.

With people. Besides your team and manager, you will have several support figures like a godparent, who will help you with the practical and administrative aspects of daily life during your first 6 months.

And the second most important person after you, your mentor, who will guide you through your entire onboarding and career at ERNI. You will have regular 1:1 meetings with them, and recurrently, you will work on your development plan to define your short-, medium-, and long-term goals.

What you will bring

3–7 years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on cloud-based application development.

Strong experience with Python, FastAPI and REST APIs, with additional exposure to Java or Node.js.

Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript, JavaScript and HTML/CSS.

Solid knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3 and CloudWatch, together with CloudFormation.

Experience with Git, Jenkins, OpenShift or Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, plus knowledge of software architecture principles.

You will be responsible for designing and developing backend services, APIs and cloud-native applications with a strong focus on Python. You will also develop web functionalities, integrate enterprise applications with cloud services and APIs, and support development, test and production environments. You will participate in troubleshooting, incident resolution, continuous improvement, documentation and knowledge-sharing activities.

We ask you to be available for key meetings. Need to leave for a doctor’s appointment or to pick up your child from school? No problem. We trust you to deliver quality work within your 40-hour workweek.

Our model is hybrid: we usually go to the office 2 days a week, though this depends on the project and team, but we love seeing each other’s faces; the best stories always happen in the office!
