Our work includes external wall insulation, internal insulation, heating upgrades, ventilation, solar and associated building works.

As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are creating a new position for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance & Snagging Operative to join our team.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position for an experienced and capable tradesperson who takes genuine pride in finishing work properly.

You will work across completed and live retrofit projects, dealing with minor remedial works, finishing items and customer snags. No two days will necessarily be the same.

We are looking for someone who can assess a small building or finishing issue, understand what needs to be done and get it sorted without needing constant supervision.

Typical works will include:

Minor plastering and render repairs

Patching and making good

Silicone and sealant work

Painting and touch-up works

Minor carpentry and general building repairs

Repairing or refixing handrails, fencing and similar items

External wall insulation finishing and snagging works

Minor customer-care remedial works

Completing snag lists following project inspections

Assisting our Project Managers with small works that require a quick and professional resolution

This is not a general labouring position. We are looking for a practical, experienced person with a broad skillset who is comfortable working independently and representing BlueBuild in our customers' homes.

The Person We Want

The right person will be someone who:

Has strong general building and maintenance skills

Has previous plastering experience; experience with render or external wall insulation would be a major advantage

Is confident carrying out small repairs and finishing works across several trades

Has excellent attention to detail

Takes pride in leaving a job clean, complete and professionally finished

Can diagnose straightforward site issues and find practical solutions

Is comfortable working independently and organising their own workload

Is reliable, punctual and takes ownership of their work

Communicates well with customers, Project Managers and other trades

Understands that good customer service is as important as good workmanship

Is professional and well presented

Has a positive, flexible and solutions-focused attitude

Holds a full clean driving licence
