About the role
We are looking for a full time Lead Nurse to work in our dental clinic. You will be working with Orthodontic, General and Oral Surgery. Hours are between 32 and 40 per week with Monday to Saturday availability required but rostered over 5 days. Qualification and Irish dental experience essential.
We are a large family friendly dental practice operating on the NorthSide Of Dublin. We are situated in a beautiful building with a fabulous sunny garden and staff canteen facilities.
Our clinic has 3 full time general dentists, 2 Orthodontists and 1 part time maxillofacial surgeon. We are looking for a lead nurse to lead a team of 7 nurses and fulfill the following duties.
Providing clinical chairside support to dentists
Prepare instrument trays for procedures. Follow all practice procedures and protocols to maintain patient confidentiality. At the end of the surgical day, ensure the surgery management is adhered to in line with practice procedures and policy.
Providing excellent patient care
Updating patient records
Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and cross infection control, according to the latest guidelines and following practice procedures and policy.
Regular meetings with management
Ensure nursing standards and requirements are met throughout the practice
Advise of any faulty or poorly functioning equipment, so that prompt action can be taken to remedy any defects/problems and ensure service and maintenance at the required frequency.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Monitor stock levels for materials and sundries and order/liaise with Nurses and management on ordering.
Coordinate with the laboratory on timely dispatch and receipt of work
Manage audits to ensure standards are kept. Report and act on findings
Work with management to ensure continuous training and high standards of your nursing team
Work with practice manager to ensure appropriate nursing staff rotas
Responsibility to oversee stock levels and ordering ensuring value for money
Who we’re looking for:
Qualified dental nurse of preferably 3 years experience.
Competent on Microsoft word/excel, G-docs
Strong communication skills
Leadership qualities
Enthusiastic committed results orientated individual
