Quality Control Executive – Food Safety & Operations

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Executive to manage the recurring quality and food safety inspection cycle across all branches, the central kitchen, and production kitchens.

The role will be responsible for conducting scheduled and unannounced inspections, identifying compliance gaps, documenting findings, coordinating corrective actions, and monitoring the closure of issues. The Quality Control Executive will also act as the primary point of contact for inspection-related government and third-party audits.

This position requires strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, food handling, inspection procedures, and UAE food safety requirements, along with excellent reporting and follow-up skills.

Key ResponsibilitiesSite Inspections & Quality Control

Conduct regular scheduled and unannounced inspections across all branches, central kitchen, and production kitchens.

Inspect food hygiene, food handling practices, storage conditions, cleanliness, staff compliance, and equipment condition.

Conduct inspections using standardized checklists and maintain accurate inspection records.

Document inspection scores, observations, non-conformities, and corrective actions.

Act as the primary point of contact during government inspections and third-party audits.

Identify critical food safety or operational issues and escalate them immediately.

Corrective Actions & Follow-Up

Share inspection findings with Branch Managers and relevant management immediately after each inspection.

Coordinate with branch teams to address and close identified issues.

Follow up on corrective actions and verify that reported issues have been properly resolved.

Conduct re-inspections where required to confirm closure of critical or recurring findings.

Monitor recurring issues and identify areas requiring preventive action.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare inspection reports following each site visit.

Submit weekly summaries of quality and food safety findings to management.

Prepare monthly trend reports covering performance across all branches.

Maintain branch-wise inspection records and track performance over time.

Immediately report critical findings that may impact food safety, compliance, or business operations.

Maintain accurate documentation of certificates, inspection findings, corrective actions, and follow-ups.

Licensing, Certifications & Inspection-Related Compliance

Manage and coordinate requirements that involve physical site inspections, including:

Food Control / Establishment Permit (ADAFSA): Coordinate site access, support inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.

Zadna Food Safety Rating (ADAFSA): Conduct internal inspections and follow-up activities to support the required food safety standards.

Civil Defence Fire Safety Certificate: Coordinate site access during inspection visits and document findings.

Third-Party Audits: Act as the single point of contact during Group-appointed third-party inspections and maintain the findings report.

Calibration Certificates: Track annual calibration of refrigerator/freezer thermometers and temperature-monitoring equipment and ensure certificates are available for inspection.

Pest Control Certificates: Review contractor logbooks during recurring visits to verify that treatments have been completed and properly documented.

Duct & Exhaust Cleaning Certificates: Verify that post-cleaning certificates are issued and maintained for each branch according to the required cleaning cycle.

Coordination

Work closely with Branch Managers and kitchen teams to resolve quality and food safety issues.

Coordinate with relevant departments regarding corrective actions and compliance requirements.

Maintain inspection and follow-up records through the company's Notion tracking system.

Coordinate with government inspectors, external auditors, contractors, and relevant internal stakeholders.

Ensure all critical findings are communicated to management without delay.

Required Certification

A relevant food safety certification is mandatory for this position.

Required

EFST (UAE) or equivalent recognized food safety training.

FICSI-accredited food safety training (India) or equivalent.

Person in Charge (PIC) certification or equivalent.

Strongly Preferred

HACCP Level 3 or Level 4 Certification

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food Technology, or a related field.

ISO 22000 Training.

Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety.

Additional food safety, quality control, or auditing certifications.

Experience & Skills

2–4 years of experience in Quality Control, Food Safety, Food Hygiene, or F&B Operations.

Practical experience conducting food safety and hygiene inspections.

Strong understanding of food handling, storage, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.

Experience preparing inspection reports and maintaining compliance documentation.

Strong follow-up and corrective action management skills.

Ability to identify critical food safety risks and escalate them promptly.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.

Ability to work independently and visit multiple locations.

Comfortable conducting both scheduled and unannounced inspections.

Reporting & Inspection Cadence

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the following reporting cycle:

Per Visit: Inspection report shared with the Branch Manager.

Weekly: Summary of inspection findings and outstanding corrective actions to management.

Monthly: Branch-wise quality and compliance trend report.

Immediate: Escalation of critical food safety, compliance, or operational findings.

Scope of the Role

This role is focused specifically on inspection-linked quality, food safety, and compliance requirements.

The following responsibilities are outside the scope of this position:

EFST staff training certificates

These requirements will be coordinated by the PRO/HR team as applicable.

The Quality Control Executive will only verify that relevant staff food safety certificates are valid and available during routine site inspections.
