About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Electrician to join our Christchurch Building Services team, supporting a diverse portfolio across Canterbury.

Based out of Paragon Place, this role offers a balance of reactive maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and minor project works. You’ll work across a range of critical commercial environments, including financial institutions, supermarket and retail portfolios, government agencies, education providers and large-scale facilities, maintaining and servicing electrical systems, switchboards, lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting and associated building services infrastructure.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone confident managing their workload, maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering high-quality outcomes in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering reactive electrical maintenance across commercial sites

Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks

Supporting minor installation, upgrade and remedial works

Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults

Testing and commissioning electrical systems and equipment

Completing emergency lighting and compliance-related inspections

Recording work and updates via tablet/iPad job management systems

Maintaining strong Health & Safety practices onsite

Providing professional, client-facing best in class service

What We’re Looking For

Registered Electrician with a current New Zealand practising licence

Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance

Strong understanding and commitment to Health & Safety

Confident communication and client-facing skills

Comfortable using mobile technology for job management

Full, clean NZ driver’s licence
