About the Role:The team:

The Global Payroll Operations team ensures accurate and timely compensation for all employees worldwide while maintaining strict compliance with local labor, tax, and data privacy regulations. Acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day employee payroll inquiries, the team manages end-to-end vendor relationships, leverages automated payroll systems, and delivers key operational analytics and executive reporting to monitor and maintain overall payroll process health.

Responsibilities and impact:

We are seeking a highly meticulous and experienced HR Operations Associate to lead our payroll function and ensure total adherence to statutory regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of payroll cycles, the management of employee benefits, and the maintenance of rigorous compliance standards. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of the Indian legislative landscape and a proven track record in HRIS management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Excellence & Benefits

End-to-End Processing: Manage monthly payroll cycles with 100% accuracy, collaborating closely with finance and our payroll vendors.

Full & Final Settlements: Oversee the comprehensive exit process, ensuring all statutory and contractual financial obligations are met for departing employees.

Compensation & Benefits: Administer flexible benefit plans and the National Pension Scheme (NPS), ensuring accurate deductions and disbursements.

Query Resolution: Serve as the subject matter expert for employee inquiries regarding compensation, tax declarations, and reimbursements. Act as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing empathetic and timely solutions.

2. Statutory Compliance & Audit

Legal Adherence: Ensure the organization remains in full compliance with all applicable Indian Labour Laws, including PF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Gratuity.

Legislative Strategy: Monitor and implement updates regarding the New Labour Codes and other evolving employment regulations.

Reporting & Filings: Manage the timely preparation and submission of all monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.

Audit Lead: Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors and government bodies during inspections.

3. HR Operations & Systems

Data Integrity: Maintain the "source of truth" by updating employee data in the HRIS (Dayforce).

Lifecycle Support: Facilitate seamless onboarding and offboarding documentation.

Analytics: Build HR dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to leadership.

What we’re looking for:

Experienced: A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in India Payroll and HR Operations.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Legislative Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory frameworks.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in payroll software and HRIS platforms. Direct experience with Dayforce is highly preferred.

Core Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
