Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) - Azure Focus

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a focus on Azure, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based services. You will work closely with development teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet our business needs. Ideal candidates have a strong technical background, a passion for continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.

Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability practices into the software development lifecycle.

Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify and resolve issues proactively.

Develop and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure rapid detection of potential problems.

Create and enforce best practices for incident management and response.

Work on capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure efficient use of Azure services.

Implement disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data and services.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and other stakeholders.

Contribute to the development of documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.

Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualification Criteria:

Proven experience in a similar SRE role, with a focus on Azure cloud services.

Strong understanding of system design principles and software architecture.

Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Experience with Azure services including VMs, Storage, Networking, and Monitoring tools.

Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.

Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating issues.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
