Technical Manager l-Reinforced Concrete

vConstruct is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to provide technical leadership for Reinforced Concrete detailing projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the technical quality, constructability, coordination, and compliance of project deliverables while supporting project teams through expert technical guidance.

Working closely with Project Managers and production teams, the Technical Manager will mentor technical staff, resolve complex detailing challenges, establish best practices, and ensure models and drawings consistently meet client, fabrication, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across Reinforced Concrete detailing projects.

Review and approve models, shop drawings, and technical deliverables.

Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and company standards.

Lead constructability reviews and resolve complex technical issues.

Mentor Team Leads, Detailers and Checkers.

Collaborate with Project Managers to support successful project delivery.

Participate in client technical meetings and coordination sessions.

Manage RFIs, engineering revisions, reference models, and technical documentation.

Support development of company detailing standards, templates, and workflows.

Drive quality improvement initiatives and technical consistency across projects.

Stay current with industry standards, BIM technologies, and digital construction practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

More than 10-12 years of experience in Reinforced Concrete detailing or VDC.

Strong expertise in Tekla Structures and Reinforced Concrete detailing workflows.

Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and resolving complex detailing challenges.
