Lead Dispatcher / General Operative

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Lead Dispatcher to be a driving force on our dispatch team, helping us process orders faster and more reliably. You'll be hands-on with picking, packing, and dispatch every day, while using your experience to guide and encourage the rest of the team. You'll also act as a key link between the warehouse floor and customer service - making sure returns are handled and last-minute order updates are actioned before goods go out the door. This role reports to the Operations Manager, who the wider dispatch team also reports through.

Key Responsibilities

Pick totes and pack orders accurately and efficiently to meet daily dispatch targets

Lead by example on the dispatch floor, helping the team process orders more quickly and consistently

Monitor internal communication channels (e.g. Slack/Teams) for returns requests and key updates from customer service, and action them before affected orders are dispatched

Coordinate with the wider warehouse and customer service teams to resolve order issues quickly

Support, mentor, and encourage other dispatch team members, sharing best practice and helping newer staff get up to speed

Identify and flag bottlenecks in the pick-pack-dispatch process, and feed suggestions for improvement up to the Operations Manager

Maintain accurate records of orders processed, returns, and exceptions

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a dispatch, warehouse, or order fulfilment role, with a track record of being one of the strongest performers on the team

Some experience informally guiding, mentoring, or supporting colleagues (this is not a people-management role)

High attention to detail - you take pride in getting orders right first time, every time, especially when handling returns and order changes

Comfortable picking and packing a variety of products, including larger or awkward items with their own specific handling requirements

Happy to be on your feet for extended periods and moving totes and boxes throughout the shift, and comfortable working at pace

A hardworking, motivated team player who is flexible, punctual, and consistent

Good communicator, confident coordinating across teams via internal messaging tools

Reliable and organised, able to keep yourself and those around you on track to hit dispatch deadlines

We are located in Sandyford Industrial Estate, county Dublin.

Pay: €34,000.00-€38,000.00 per year
