Position: Integration Engineer – EPS Modernization Project

Project: EPS Modernization Project Location: Bangalore

Type: 09 - 12 months contract with possible extension Work Mode: Monday WFH | Tuesday–Friday WFO Shift Timing: 01:30 PM – 10:30 PM Experience: 08–12 Years experience

Role Description

Work Allocation / Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement integrations enabling seamless communication between the EPS platform, POS systems, payment processors, edge devices, and enterprise applications.

Define integration architecture, API and messaging patterns, and reusable integration components.

Ensure data integrity, security, scalability, reliability, and resiliency across the integration landscape.

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, developers, and vendors to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Lead integration testing and support SIT and UAT activities.

Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical defects and integration issues.

Ensure adherence to Chevron engineering standards and development practices.

Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Support deployment planning, performance tuning, monitoring, and operational readiness.

Ensure reliable and resilient payment transaction processing across the EPS ecosystem.

Required Functional and Domain Knowledge

Strong understanding of retail fuel operations and payment processing ecosystems.

Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems, forecourt controllers, edge computing environments, and end-to-end payment transaction lifecycles.

Understanding of payment authorization, settlement, refunds, reversals, gift card transactions, and exception handling processes.

Knowledge of payment processors, site systems, operational controls, transaction monitoring, and vendor-integrated payment platforms.

Understanding of business workflows and operational support processes.

Knowledge of compliance considerations related to payment processing.

Experience with modernization of vendor-controlled systems into enterprise-owned, service-based architectures.

Ability to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.
