We're looking for an experienced Corporate Accountant to become an important part of our growing team.

Position Summary

Premier Tech Partners is seeking an experienced Corporate Accountant to join our finance team as an Independent Contractor (1099). This is a fully remote position offering a flexible schedule of approximately 20–30 hours per week.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys working independently, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a growing, fast-paced environment. You'll support the day-to-day accounting functions of the business, assist with the monthly close process, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and help improve accounting processes as the company continues to grow.

Because this is a remote position, we're looking for a highly motivated self-starter who consistently produces accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision. We're also looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys taking on new challenges, and wants to continue growing professionally.

Primary Responsibilities

· Manage assigned accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, journal entries, reconciliations, and support of the monthly financial close.

· Prepare customer invoices, apply customer payments, and assist with collections activities.

· Process vendor invoices, payment approvals, and vendor payments.

· Perform daily cash management activities, including monitoring bank activity and maintaining cash records.

· Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts.

· Prepare and post journal entries.

· Assist with the monthly close process.

· Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.

· Assist with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and variance analysis.

· Assist with customer and vendor contract administration, including tracking renewals and billing schedules.

· Support the company's sales tax process through Avalara, including reviewing tax calculations, maintaining tax settings, and assisting with sales tax-related questions.

· Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

· Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.

· Contribute to special projects and other accounting initiatives that support the continued growth of the company.

What You'll Bring

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· 3+ years of corporate accounting experience.

· Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, account reconciliations, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and the monthly close process.

· Experience assisting with budgeting and forecasting.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, and financial reporting.

· Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

· Hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP is highly preferred. Candidates with experience using another ERP platform are also encouraged to apply.

· Experience working in a technology, ERP consulting, SaaS, managed services (MSP), or professional services environment.

· Experience using Avalara sales tax software is a plus.
