Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Inspector – Injection Moulding to join our manufacturing team in Nelamangala. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting injection-moulded components, identifying defects, ensuring product quality as per specifications, and maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect injection-moulded components during and after production.
Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections.
Check components for defects such as:
Flash
Short moulding
Sink marks
Warpage
Burn marks
Weld lines
Dimensional variations
Surface defects
Colour variation
Cracks and other moulding-related defects
Verify product dimensions using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Compare components against drawings, specifications, samples, and approved quality standards.
Identify and segregate defective/non-conforming components.
Maintain inspection records, rejection reports, and quality documentation.
Monitor production quality and immediately report recurring defects to the Production/Quality Engineer.
Coordinate with production operators to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Conduct first-piece and sample inspections as required.
Assist in identifying the root cause of quality issues.
Ensure proper identification and traceability of rejected and accepted parts.
Follow company SOPs, quality procedures, and safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of inspection equipment.
Support continuous improvement activities to reduce rejection and rework.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
Required Skills
Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Inspection, preferably in Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing.
Good knowledge of injection-moulded component defects.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
Hands-on experience with Vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Good observation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify dimensional and visual defects accurately.
Basic knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a manufacturing/production environment.
Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
Preferred Qualifications
ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification preferred.
Experience in plastic injection moulding or automotive/plastic component manufacturing will be an advantage.
Candidates familiar with basic 7 QC tools, rejection analysis, and root-cause identification will be preferred.
