Caremark Merton is looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Bank Care Assistants to join our friendly and supportive team.
Job Title: Bank Support Worker/ Live in carer
Location: Merton (Covering SM4, CR4, SW20, SW19, KT3 areas)
Salary: 13.75 to 14 pounds/hour
Hours: Flexible hours based on company requirements, candidate availability, skills, and monthly performance reviews.

Job Description
Summary of role
To share with other staff in meeting the personal care and support needs of customers in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes their independence. The care and support provided by Care and Support Workers are expected to include support that would reasonably be given by members of
the client’s family and is not to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by a trained nurse.
Principal responsibilities
To assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including
dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
To help clients with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of
personal aids and equipment.
To care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc.
To provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
To help in the promotion of mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading,
writing, hobbies and recreations.
To make and change beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
To inspect, launder and mend clients’ clothes.
To set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
To read and write reports and be involved in clients’ reviews and training activities.
To always adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
To report either to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager any significant changes in the health or
circumstances of a client.
To encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
For Live in Carers the job responsibilities may also include
Night-time cover: Handling any required tasks or waking up for help during the night.
Regular family contact: Catching up with and updating family members and outside teams working in collaboration daily.
Full kitchen control: Planning and overseeing all food prep, cooking, and fridge safety in the house.
Team handovers: Chatting with other visiting carers to pass on updates and keep everyone on the same page.

What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for people who are:
Care certificates and NVQ qualifications will be good for the role.
Individuals who have years of experience in care with a positive attitude to learn
Someone who has a COS and is looking for some extra hours of work is also welcome.
Good communicators with a positive attitude.
Passionate about supporting others.
Eligible to work in the UK.
Previous care experience is welcomed but isn’t essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle will be good but not essential.
