About the role

Your Opportunity:

Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is looking for a Pharmacist who is interested in a role with a strong clinical focus and regular involvement in direct patient care. You will work closely with patients, prescribers, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to assess medication therapy, resolve drug-related problems, and support safe, practical treatment plans. This role offers a broad mix of acute and chronic care, with opportunities to use your clinical judgment every day. The work includes medication therapy assessment and monitoring, patient education, discharge and transition planning, and collaboration with the care team when medication regimens need to be adjusted. In addition to the clinical aspects of the role, there are also responsibilities for order verification for the GPRH facility as well as our surrounding rural sites. This position is a good fit for someone who communicates well, enjoys problem-solving, and is comfortable balancing clinical priorities in a busy hospital environment. You will be joining a pharmacy team that plays an important role in patient care at a regional hospital serving Grande Prairie and surrounding communities. In addition to the AHS rate of pay, this position is currently eligible for a Remote Retention Allowance of up to $3,000 annually and a Northern Pharmacist Wage Supplement of up to $10,000 annually. This position may also be eligible for an additional recruitment incentive through the HSAA Rural Capacity Investment Fund. Eligibility is subject to RCIF approval, and the hiring manager will submit the application on behalf of the successful candidate. If you are looking for a role where your clinical input is valued, your work is varied, and you can build strong working relationships with patients and the care team, we would be glad to hear from you.
