POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Analysis Lead Analyst, Client Analysis Consultation position provides analytics support and insights to assist clients to understand the drivers of their pharmacy costs, expectations for future costs, and clinical solutions to help them manage their costs to meet their budget goals.
Analysts will lead the development of client-specific financial analyses, trend insights, and custom reporting deliverables. Analysts will partner with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable analytics that support client strategy and decision making.
Additional work includes managing client guarantee performance, supporting enterprise projects, and working to enhance finance team efficiency through the development of improved financial models and best practices.
Analysts will develop a deep understanding of the pharmacy benefits management (PBM) industry including drivers of trend, pipeline for new medications and financial impact, competitive environment, and solutions that can be used to control costs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead development of client-specific financial insights and analytics - Own creation of financial content for client presentations, ensuring outputs are accurate, tailored, and aligned to client priorities
Synthesize and communicate key drivers of pharmacy trend and performance - Translate complex analyses into clear, executive-ready narratives spanning historical performance and forward-looking projections
Partner cross-functionally to deliver integrated insights - Collaborate with Product, Pricing, Underwriting, Data Analytics, Supply Chain and Sales teams to align analytics, solutions, and client messaging
Drive continuous improvement of analytics and best practices
Enhance models, templates, and processes while incorporating feedback to improve scalability, consistency, and quality
Innovation efficiency – Leverage artificial intelligence, automation tools, and advanced analytics techniques to streamline reporting, enhance forecasting accuracy, accelerate insight generation, and improve the scalability and consistency of client deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Business Intelligence Analytics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related Field with 5-8 years of relevant work experience
Strong business and organizational skills
Strong written/verbal communication
Must be able to explain complex terms in simple ways
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint
Must be proficient in querying and analyzing data from complex databases using SQL, Python, and other programming languages
Must be proficient with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
Must be proficient in modeling, trending and forecasting skills
Knowledge of PBM or Healthcare industry preferred but not essential
