Editorial Project Coordinator

Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure timely delivery for several projects simultaneously.

Collaborate with internal teams (editorial, production) and external stakeholders (publisher, vendors) to ensure all deliverables are met.

Act as the primary point of contact for the publishing house, author(s), and other stakeholders and provide regular updates on project progress.

Review and oversee editorial work, ensuring content aligns with the publisher's style guide, tone, and standards as well as general editorial best practices.

Coordinate with editors, proofreaders, and content strategists to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity of content throughout the manuscript.

Review and approve copyediting output to ensure the accuracy of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and style as per the publisher's guidelines.

Evaluate proofreading results to ensure all errors are identified and corrected before final production.

Manage a cross-functional team, assigning tasks based on skillsets and ensuring a balanced workload, while adhering to deadlines.

Oversee the quality control process for book content, layout, and design to ensure the final product aligns with the publisher's standards.

Proactively identify potential risks and challenges to project timelines or quality and develop strategies to minimize delays.
