What you’ll own

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to join our Enterprise Operations team, responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing Salesforce platform releases across Enterprise (LOB). This role is critical in ensuring changes are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining a high standard of quality, compliance, and operational stability.

You will work closely with product teams, developers, administrators, architects, engineers, business analysts, testing teams, and business stakeholders to manage the end-to-end release lifecycle across the Salesforce ecosystem. This includes coordinating deployments, managing release schedules, overseeing change control processes, mitigating release risk, and driving continuous improvement in release management practices.

As the central point of coordination for platform changes, you will ensure that Salesforce releases are planned, tested, approved, communicated, and successfully deployed in alignment with enterprise governance standards.

Own and manage the end-to-end Salesforce release lifecycle across multiple products, teams, and environments.

Develop and maintain release calendars, deployment schedules, and release roadmaps across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Coordinate release activities across Salesforce Core, Agentforce, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, integrations, and supporting platforms.

Facilitate release planning, go/no-go decisions, deployment readiness reviews, and release governance forums.

Manage change control processes, ensuring all changes are appropriately assessed, approved, documented, and communicated.

Coordinate dependencies across development, testing, business readiness, infrastructure, and operational support teams.

Drive release risk management, identifying potential conflicts, issues, and deployment impacts before production implementation.

Partner with engineering teams to support CI/CD adoption and automation of deployment processes.

Ensure comprehensive release documentation, deployment plans, rollback procedures, and implementation records are maintained.

Support testing coordination, including system integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment validation activities.

Lead production deployment activities and act as the central point of coordination during release events.

Monitor release outcomes, deployment success metrics, and post-release performance to drive continuous improvement.

Manage communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed of release schedules, impacts, outages, and business readiness activities.

Coordinate incident resolution and rollback activities when required following production deployments.

Ensure releases comply with enterprise governance, security, audit, and regulatory requirements

What you bring

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Change Management, or Delivery Management within enterprise technology environments.

Experience managing releases across Salesforce environments including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related technologies.

Strong understanding of Salesforce deployment processes, environment management, and release best practices.

Experience working with:

Salesforce DevOps processes

CI/CD pipelines

Git-based source control

Automated deployment tools

Environment strategy and management

Experience coordinating complex releases involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and technology platforms.

Strong knowledge of change management, risk management, and governance processes.

Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools such as:

Copado

Gearset

Salesforce DevOps Center

AutoRABIT

Azure DevOps

Understanding of testing lifecycle activities including SIT, UAT, regression testing, and release validation.

Experience managing release schedules, dependencies, and production deployment activities within Agile delivery environments.

Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe Agile.

Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent releases and competing priorities.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to coordinate senior business and technology leaders during major releases.

Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm and decisive during critical deployment activities.

ITIL Change Management certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.

Salesforce certifications or experience within Salesforce platform delivery teams would be beneficial
