Key responsibilities and accountabilities

1. Primary function is testing of specialist radio products to include

Testing\fault diagnosis and repair to bare board level using specialist RF test equipment

System configuration

Final unit testing

Validation of test procedures and processes.

2. Other Production related tasks that may be required include

Mechanical build of assemblies

Wiring assemblies including making of cable assemblies.

Kitting for internal and external builds

3. Manage and organise work to agreed timescales and specifications

4. Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills

Person Profile

Qualifications: HND level or equivalent in Electronics engineering or a related subject.

Specific Job Skills: Must be able to demonstrate recent experience in a test role within an advanced RF electronics environment. Experience of working with radio based products and RF test equipment is essential, including spectrum analysers and Signal Generators.

Other Job Skills: Experience of Product assembly, Crimping, Wiring and Kitting would be advantageous.

Personality: Very well organised with good planning skills. Interested in improving company processes. Able to get on with others and be a team-player. Well presented. Reliable and able to consistently perform to demanding standards.

Personal Situation: The job is full-time, 37.5 hours per week with hours worked as five 7.5 hour days. The ability to be able to work extended hours as required would be advantageous. A clean driving licence is required. Must have or be suitable for UK MoD security clearance. Good eyesight and dexterity a must.

Computer skills: Must be adept in use of job specific software tools and MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and email. Previous experience of using an MRP system is desirable.

Pay: £26,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
