Aluminium Window Fabricator

About the Role:

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced aluminium fabricator to join our team at VGS. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge of curtain walling, window, and door systems, and who’s confident working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

With a 4-day working week and a modern, well-equipped facility, we offer the chance to work on high-quality glazing products for commercial and bespoke projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabrication of aluminium curtain walling, windows, and doors to precise specifications

Operate fabrication machinery and tools to a high standard

Review and interpret technical drawings, raising any discrepancies or design issues with the supervisor

Maintain high levels of accuracy, quality, and consistency throughout all stages of fabrication

Work to deadlines and production programmes, sometimes under pressure

Take ownership of your work and contribute positively to a team-oriented environment

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in aluminium fabrication, ideally with a specialist subcontractor producing curtain walling

Excellent knowledge of aluminium systems and fabrication techniques

Strong technical understanding of window, door, and curtain walling systems

Experience in producing bar preps and cutting lists

Able to work independently, solve problems on the go, and manage workload efficiently

Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-driven

Pay: £13.00-£18.00 per hour
