ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are currently looking for a (Full Time) Staff Accountant to join our growing team who will be responsible for reconciling owned stores, assist with daily journal entries, and report any discrepancies to the Retail department.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Effectively review and reconcile cash on hand, cash in transit and inventory for stores assigned.

Communicate discrepancies to both accounting/retail teams and follow up until the issue is resolved.

Review transactions, journal entries, make proper accounting adjustments.

Assist in special projects at the request of management.

Work with the retail, compliance, retail audit, and bank reconciliation teams to ensure proper business methods are established.

Ability to do G/L reconciliations regarding retail sales, bank deposits and disbursements.

Take initiative to explore and suggest new processes that can allow better control or performance. Positive attitude towards the job, colleagues and demonstrates a sense of urgency to deliver results.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration (a plus).

Knowledge in general accounting (ability to explain debits/credits).

Bank reconciliation experience (preferred).

Must be detailed oriented with good communication skills (relate information clearly, concise and in a positive manner that yields cooperation and builds teamwork).

Bilingual-English required.

Intermediate level in excel.

Have prioritization skills to successfully complete assigned tasks.
