Job Title: Cashier Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 1–2 years preferred
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions, handling cash and card payments, maintaining accurate records, and providing professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Process cash, credit/debit card, and other approved payment transactions accurately.
Issue receipts, invoices, and payment confirmations to customers.
Handle cash and maintain the cash drawer accurately.
Verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
Perform daily cash reconciliation and report any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Assist with refunds, exchanges, and payment-related customer queries according to company policies.
Ensure the cashier counter and surrounding area are clean and organized.
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Coordinate with the Accounts/Finance team regarding daily collections and deposits.
Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the concerned supervisor.
Follow company procedures relating to cash handling, security, and customer payments.
Report any suspicious transactions, shortages, or discrepancies to management.
Assist with other administrative or operational duties as required.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; accounting/finance qualification is an advantage.
1–2 years of cashier or relevant customer service experience preferred.
Previous experience in the UAE is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of cash handling and payment procedures.
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
Experience with POS systems is preferred.
Good numerical and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Honest, responsible, and trustworthy.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Good English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.
