We're looking for a Media and Communications Officer to join Aussie Broadband on a 12-month maximum-term contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for communications, media, and storytelling to help share our stories, support media activity, and contribute to both internal and external communications.

Let’s talk about you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or similar, with relevant experience

Experience in media relations, copywriting, and content creation

Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape

Excellent written communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Creative thinker with a proactive and innovative approach

Understanding of Continuous Disclosure requirements

How will you support our “Why?”

Create and share engaging content across media and internal communication channels

Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to promote the Aussie Broadband brand

Support media relations activities, including journalist engagement and responding to enquiries

Assist with award submissions and recognition opportunities

Help coordinate internal communication initiatives, including employee stories and business updates

Manage and facilitate internal engagement programs and events

Build strong relationships across the business to uncover and share success stories

Support the team with issues and crisis communications when required

Contribute as a collaborative member of the broader Corporate Affairs team
