We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Operations to step in and manage daily business operations, inventory strategy, and deal-making for an industry-leading cinema equipment business.

This is a pivotal, high-trust leadership role designed for a sharp negotiator and operational operator with deep roots in the cinema production landscape. You will oversee business health, direct high-value inventory acquisitions, optimize profit margins, and streamline systems to drive e-commerce growth and brand authority.

For the right candidate, this role carries significant autonomy, room to grow into executive leadership (CEO), and direct mentorship from the founder during a structured 3 to 6-month transition.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership & Business Operations

Business Oversight: Take ownership of day-to-day operations, financial health, inventory performance, and workflow systems.

Team Management: Directly lead and support a small, high-performing core team (including a Sales Manager / Lens Tech), streamlining operational responsibilities across the business.

Process & Systems Building: Refine existing workflows and build robust, scalable operational systems to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Inventory Purchasing, Pricing & Negotiations

Bulk Gear Acquisition: Source, evaluate, and negotiate high-value, bulk purchasing deals for cinema camera bodies and high-end glass.

Margin Optimization: Drive pricing strategies and bottom-line decisions for individual equipment pieces and package deals based on market trends, resale velocity, and margin targets.

Ecosystem Mastery: Deeply evaluate and trade gear across industry-standard ecosystems, including ARRI, RED, and Sony camera lines, as well as cine lenses from Cooke, ARRI, Angénieux, Zeiss, and DZOFilm.

Business Development & Growth Marketing

Deal-Making & Client Relations: Leverage industry connections (or execute proactive outreach) to build new buyer/seller relationships across production houses, camera rental facilities, DPs, and distributors.

Growth Marketing Oversight: Direct and execute social media and email marketing strategy to drive targeted e-commerce sales and solidify brand authority - either directly hands-on or by managing internal/external resources (VAs, AI tools, or part-time staff).

Candidate QualificationsRequired Experience & Skills

Industry Expertise: Strong background in cinema camera sales, rental house management, or equipment operations.

Technical Knowledge: Working familiarity with professional cinema cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony) and cinema lenses (ARRI, Cooke, Angénieux, Zeiss, DZOFilm).

Negotiation & Financial Acumen: Proven track record negotiating complex, high-ticket gear transactions with an aggressive focus on profit margins.

Self-Starter Mindset: Highly organized, process-oriented, and capable of operating autonomously in an entrepreneurial environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Established network of DPs, producers, rental managers, or gear vendors.

Track record of building or maintaining automated, systemized operational workflows.

Experience running or directing digital sales campaigns (email workflows, high-engagement social media content) in the B2B or specialized luxury/tech space.

Structure & Compensation

Transition & Mentorship: 3 to 6-month dedicated handover period working directly alongside the founder, with ongoing mentorship and support.

Growth Path: Trial period leading to full operational decision-making power and executive title progression.

Location: Primary operations based in Hollywood Hills, with flexible hybrid/remote arrangements as workflow permits.

Compensation Package: Competitive base salary accompanied by performance bonuses tied directly to overall revenue targets and individual deal margins.
