About the Role
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing customers with annual spend values between £500 and £35,000, whilst identifying and securing new business opportunities within your territory.
You will develop and execute strategic sales plans that focus on customer retention, account growth and new customer acquisition, ensuring you achieve both revenue and retention targets.
This is a highly rewarding role for an individual who can balance relationship management with a proactive hunter mentality.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation
Work with the Regional Sales Manager to deliver both new business and customer retention targets.
Develop and execute territory plans to Protect, Grow and Acquire business.
Build strong relationships with existing customers to maximise retention and revenue growth.
Identify and secure new business opportunities across your region.
Accurately forecast sales performance and pipeline activity.
Represent Wastekit and phs professionally with customers and prospects.
Focus on the quality and effectiveness of sales activity to deliver sustainable growth.
Maintain accurate customer records and opportunities within the CRM system.
Continuous Improvement
Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes and ways of working.
Analyse challenges and identify practical solutions to improve performance.
Share ideas and best practice to support business improvement initiatives.
Customer & Sales Excellence
Champion a customer-first sales approach.
Promote excellence in customer service, quality and continuous improvement.
Utilise targeted marketing campaigns to unlock growth opportunities within the territory.
Act as a trusted partner to customers, identifying opportunities to add value and strengthen relationships.
About You
We're looking for a motivated and resilient sales professional who combines strong account management skills with a passion for winning new business.
Skills & Competencies
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to build rapport and credibility with customers quickly.
Proven ability to retain, grow and develop customer accounts.
Commercially aware with strong analytical thinking skills.
Skilled at identifying opportunities and converting them into sales.
Strong understanding of sales methodologies and customer engagement strategies.
IT literate and confident using CRM systems.
Experience Required
Proven success delivering against both new business growth and customer retention targets.
Demonstrable experience in a sales role with responsibility for both hunting and account management.
Experience using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce (SFDC).
Industry experience within waste management, machinery sales or related sectors would be advantageous.
