Thrive Together at Guild Insurance

Guild Insurance is a proudly Australian owned insurer with over 60 years of experience supporting professionals and businesses across the country. We partner with more than 40 industry associations to deliver specialised, industry informed insurance solutions and we are trusted by more than 110,000 customers nationwide.

At Guild Insurance, we thrive together by staying connected to work that matters and supporting each other to grow. Our people are purpose driven, curious and care deeply about the impact they make as we protect those who protect others and support the communities who rely on them.

We're looking for a senior analytics professional who combines strong technical capability with a genuine consulting mindset. You'll partner closely with leaders across the business, uncover the real questions behind complex challenges and use data-driven insights to influence decisions that drive meaningful commercial outcomes.

What you'll be doing

As a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the insurance business, you will:

Build trusted relationships across the business and become a go-to advisor on data-led decision making

Partner with stakeholders to define business problems, identify opportunities and develop practical analytics solutions

Challenge assumptions and help stakeholders uncover the insights that matter most

Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence strategic decisions

Lead analytics initiatives that improve customer, claims and commercial outcomes

Provide project leadership across cross-functional analytics initiatives

Deliver predictive analytics, modelling and data-driven insights to support growth, retention and profitability

Apply advanced analytical techniques across pricing, portfolio management and customer outcomes

Develop proactive monitoring and insights that identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities

Contribute to strategic initiatives across Analytics, Pricing and the broader business

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

A proven ability to build credibility with leaders and influence decision-making through data-driven insights

Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills

Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to frame business challenges, ask the right questions and develop practical solutions

A demonstrated ability to balance analytical rigour with commercial pragmatism

Extensive experience in predictive analytics, statistical modelling, actuarial pricing or a related analytical discipline

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences

Experience with tools such as Python, R, SQL, MS Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau or similar

A tertiary qualification in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Actuarial Studies or similar

Experience within General Insurance is advantageous but not essential. We welcome applications from analytics, data science, statistics, engineering, actuarial and other quantitative professionals who bring strong business partnering, consulting and problem-solving capability.

What success looks like

In your first six months, you'll build strong relationships across the business, develop a deep understanding of our operations and identify opportunities to create value through analytics. Over time, you'll establish yourself as a trusted advisor, helping leaders make better decisions through data-driven insights and predictive analytics.

Why Guild?

At Guild, you'll be part of an organisation with a strong purpose, a collaborative culture and a commitment to helping our people grow. You'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful business challenges, collaborate with senior stakeholders across the organisation and make a genuine impact through your expertise.

You'll join a growing Analytics function and work alongside senior leaders across Pricing, Actuarial and Analytics. This role offers the opportunity to shape how analytics is used across the business, influence meaningful decisions and build a long-term career within an organisation committed to data-informed decision making.

If you're curious, commercially minded and passionate about turning data into action, we'd love to hear from you.
