The Role.

GMC are seeking a Recruiter to join our team. This role will support the delivery of recruitment activities across the business, managing vacancies while working as part of a collaborative HR and Recruitment team. You will play a key role in identifying, attracting and engaging high-quality candidates, helping to ensure GMC Utilities Group Ltd. continues to recruit the best people to support our ongoing growth.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in recruitment within the construction, civil engineering or utilities sector in Ireland and will be confident sourcing high-calibre candidates for a wide range of technical and operational roles.

This is an office-based position, working closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment requirements, source suitable candidates and support the recruitment process through to offer and onboarding.

Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the recruitment process for assigned vacancies from initial briefing through to offer.

Liaise with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements and recruitment priorities.

Source, attract and engage candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking and direct sourcing.

Screen applications, conduct screening calls and coordinate interview schedules.

Build and maintain talent pipelines for key operational, engineering and support roles.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external recruitment agencies, ensuring effective communication, timely feedback and a high standard of candidate delivery.

Monitor recruitment agency performance and ensure compliance with GMC Utilities Group recruitment processes.

Deliver an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Support employer branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns and careers events.

Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure data is up to date within the Applicant Tracking System.

Support onboarding activities to ensure a positive start for new employees.

Ensure recruitment activities are carried out in line with company policies and Irish employment legislation.

The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:

Minimum of 1 years' recruitment experience within the construction, civil engineering or utilities sector in Ireland.

Previous experience working within a recruitment agency, ideally specialising in construction or civil engineering recruitment.

Strong understanding of the Irish construction recruitment market.

Experience managing the full recruitment lifecycle across multiple vacancies.

Proven ability to source passive candidates and build talent pipelines.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Bullhorn.

Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong IT skills, including experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organisation.

Full driving licence is desirable.
