About the role

As a System Architect, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical success of complex, multidisciplinary projects, from early concept definition to final delivery. We are looking for an experienced system architect with affinity in one or more of the following domains: mechatronics, opto-mechatronics, imaging & optics, or advanced camera systems.

You will operate in a highly multidisciplinary environment, working closely with internal experts and leading high-tech customers. While your core strengths may lie in a specific domain, the exact scope will be shaped based on business needs and your profile. Your responsibilities are:

Analyze and structure system requirements to establish a clear and complete understanding of objectives and constraints

Define and own system-level architectures, translating requirements into robust, feasible concepts within cost, performance, and timeline boundaries

Decompose complex systems into manageable subsystems and define clear interfaces

Drive architectural trade-offs across disciplines (mechanical, optical, electrical, and software)

Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the development lifecycle

Proactively identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies

Act as a key technical interface towards customers and internal stakeholders, communicating concepts, progress, and key decisions

What we offer

Performance-based salary growth that rewards your results

33 vacation days per year, including public holidays

Flexible working hours

Time-for-time compensation when working extra hours

Strong focus on personal development, supported by a tailored growth and learning plan

Extensive career opportunities, with progression across a wide range of functions and projects

A young, entrepreneurial, and innovative company culture where initiative is encouraged

Free access to the company gym

Free lunch, dinner and healthy snacks available every day on-site

What you bring

BSc, BEng, MSc or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or equivalent

Broad system-level thinking with a strong technical foundation in mechatronics and/or imaging-related domains

Proven ability to define and drive complex system architectures in a multidisciplinary environment

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly assess problems and identify root causes

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proactive, responsible, and capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy

Strategic mindset combined with a pragmatic, results-driven approach

Strong organizational and time management skills

Decisive and effective in balancing technical, commercial, and project constraints

3–5 years of relevant professional experience in complex, multidisciplinary system development (more senior profiles are also encouraged to apply)
