As a Personal Lines Insurance Broker at Excalibur Insurance, you will be the primary contact for a portfolio of personal lines clients, offering expert guidance and support throughout the policy lifecycle. You’ll manage renewals, policy changes, claims assistance, and ensure exceptional customer service, contributing to our goal of making every client experience extraordinary. This role requires a Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) license and a commitment to providing high-quality client service and detailed documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Support & Renewals: Provide comprehensive service to an assigned book of clients, assisting with renewals, responding to phone and email inquiries, and explaining policy details and changes.
Documentation & Processing: Handle and process all policy-related documents with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring timely delivery of renewal documents and invoices.
Policy Management: Send policy changes to insurance companies, ensure coverage accuracy, monitor renewals, issue binders, and identify gaps in coverage as needed.
Claims Assistance: Record claim information and file with the corresponding insurance company. Provide claims updates as needed.
Information Management: Keep up-to-date records of policy coverages and client details for easy reference.
Team Support: Provide backup support for other Personal Lines Insurance Brokers when they are ill or on vacation.
Compliance: Follow all procedures and adhere to insurance regulations.
Qualifications:
Certification: Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) license is required.
Experience: 1+ years of insurance experience is preferred.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with types of coverage, policy wordings, and insurance products is essential. Experience with Microsoft Office programs and Applied TAM/Epic is an asset.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to troubleshoot, research, and identify solutions to provide clients with optimal coverage options. This includes reviewing policy wordings, conducting online research, and collaborating directly with insurance companies and team members.
Communication: Strong customer service skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and a professional demeanor.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
