Store Manager Convenience Store

Manager required for City Centre Convenience Store.

STORE MANAGEMENT

Manage the activities of retail sales team on a daily basis and ensure necessary tasks are completed to an appropriate level

Ensure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times

To delegate and communicate effectively with the retail sales team

To supervise the effective induction and training of all employees

To communicate sales performance to the team

Recruitment of high calibre retail sales assistants

OPERATIONS

Ensure store is merchandised in a customer focused and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines

Ensure housekeeping in the store is maintained at an optimum level

Co-ordinate in-store sales and promotions

To communicate with retail sales team regarding in store sales and promotions

To ensure the cash handling policy is adhered to

To ensure shelf edged labels are accurate

To react to local market trends and competition in an appropriate manner

To ensure customers receive high quality and consistent service at all times

To deal with and rectify customer complaints in an effective and pleasant manner

To pro-actively take necessary action in store improvements following customer complaints

STOCK MANAGEMENT

Completion of stock controls on high risk products

To minimise stock loss through wastage, damages and pilferage

Ensure food management and waste systems are adhered to by retail sales team

Check stock to ensure adequate stock is available for customer’s needs

LEGISLATION & SECURITY

Management of staff ensuring compliance with labour law, HACCP, Health & Safety and Consumer Legislation

To ensure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced or where possible removed/eliminated

Ensuring that Health & Safety checks are conducted and actioned accordingly

GENERAL

To know and understand company policies and procedures and ensure they are implemented effectively by retail sales team

To achieve targets as agreed with operations manager

Escalate issues to operations manager as appropriate

To communicate with the operations manager on an on-going basis

To undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the operations manager

Starting salary 35000 euro per year, negotiable down to experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
