About the role
In our Application Development team for laboratory filtration in Goettingen, every experiment, customer interaction, and collaboration contributes to transforming scientific challenges into practical solutions. As a Scientist Application Development (x|f|m), you will bridge customer application needs with internal innovation and product development activities. By generating application-relevant data, evaluating laboratory and bioprocess workflows, and translating customer requirements into scientific project work, you will help shape solutions that create value for our customers and support the development of our filtration portfolio. Working closely with customers, Product Management, Product Development, scientists, and laboratory experts, you will contribute to the advancement of application-focused solutions and support innovation activities across emerging and established bioprocess applications. This full-time position is based in Goettingen and involves a 40-hour work week as well as approximately 20% travel.
Grow With Us – Your Responsibilities
Execute experiments, technical tasks, and defined work packages related to laboratory filtration and bioprocess applications
Analyze experimental data and report scientific results within agreed timelines
Interpret findings and adjust technical approaches based on experimental outcomes
Propose and support experiments within defined projects to address customer application needs and support product, application, and technology development priorities
Contribute scientific expertise to the evaluation of laboratory and bioprocess workflows, including emerging modalities such as mRNA and LNP downstream processing
Collaborate with customers, scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate application requirements into experimental approaches and ensure alignment with product development priorities
Translate experimental findings and customer insights into application-related recommendations and development activities within defined projects
Guide and train less experienced colleagues in projects within the area of expertise
What Will Convince Us
PhD, or Master's degree with several years of relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant professional experience
Proven expertise in a scientific or technical field relevant to laboratory filtration, bioprocessing, biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related discipline
Experience in planning and executing experiments as well as analyzing and interpreting scientific data
Sound understanding of laboratory and bioprocess workflows, ideally within filtration and/or chromatography applications
Ability to identify scientific challenges and solve problems using a structured and evidence-based approach
Strong collaboration and communication skills within interdisciplinary teams and customer-oriented environments
Ability to share knowledge and support the development of less experienced colleagues
Fluent in English
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%)
