About the Role

As the Clinical Team Manager, you will provide visible clinical, professional and operational leadership to Kia Tū Ngāwari (Infant Child Adolescent Mental Health Services) in the Mid North. Working in partnership with the Service Manager, Clinical Head of Department, Cultural Lead and multidisciplinary team, you will support the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred services for infants, children, young people and families/whānau experiencing mental health and addiction challenges.

This is a diverse leadership role where no two days are the same. You will lead service operations, workforce development, quality improvement initiatives, recruitment and performance management while fostering a positive team culture that supports learning, innovation and clinical excellence. You will maintain a strong clinical presence within the service, mentoring staff and ensuring high-quality care and positive outcomes for tangata whaiora and their whānau.

About the Team/Service/Location

Kia Tū Ngāwari provides specialist Infant, Child, Youth, Maternal Mental Health and Addiction Services, alongside the Early Intervention Psychosis Service, supporting tamariki, rangatahi and whānau across Te Tai Tokerau. Working closely with internal teams and community partners, the service delivers integrated, recovery-focused and culturally responsive care.

About you

As an experienced clinical leader, you will bring:

A current registration and practising certificate in Nursing or an Allied Health profession

At least 7 years post-registration experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a relevant mental health specialty area

Proven leadership experience within mental health and addictions services, including workforce development, quality improvement and operational management

Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to culturally safe, equitable service delivery

Exceptional relationship-building, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams
