Job Summary
The purpose is to design team and individual courses, maintaining records of courses and materials and gathering feedback on the quality of trainings from trainees, instructors and managers. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with various educational techniques for different roles and skill sets.

Must be accredited with SASSETA (Skills level 1 – 3 and the fundamentals)
Facilitate, Assess and Moderate SASSETA skills training courses
Must be fully PSIRA accredited and registered
Facilitate, Assess and Moderate PSIRA training for external and internal learners.
Good communication and writing skills in English
Any other training qualification pertaining to the role will be advantageous
Interview staff and managers to assess training needs
Design training courses based on needs of the business
Organise in-house and offsite activities, like presentations, job simulations and role-playing exercises
Conduct weekly on-site training, as per site specification or training roster
Design and implement all course content
Enrich courses with visual aids to engage trainees
Measure outcomes from trainings
Research and recommend learning equipment (e.g., platforms)
Calculate and report on training costs
Ensure new hires conduct all mandatory training as required by their roles
Ensure area compliance with LMS loaded trainings from Division
Conduct induction training with all new joiners
Coordinate external training as per operational requirements
Provide support with Recruitment, Administration and People related projects as required based on operational requirements.
Must have previous experience in facilitation with Sasseta learnerships. (+- 2 years)
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12
PSIRA Grade A
At least 3– 5 years’ experience in a training role
Minimum 3 years’ experience in soft skills training
Registered with SAPS as a National Key Point Instructor
Full firearm competency and accredited with PFTC
Be an accredited SASSETA facilitator, assessor and moderator (Essential)
PSIRA Graded / Instructor qualified (Essential)
Clear criminal record
Attention to detail
Intermediate MS Office Skills
Ability to work independently
Leadership Skills
Strong administration skills (Essential)
Own car and drivers’ License
