The Operations Manager will provide day-to-day contractor coordination and operational oversight at assigned Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) sites in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) POTFF Program. This role ensures staffing continuity, accurate data visibility, and seamless integration of contractor personnel supporting Human Performance, Psychological Performance, Cognitive Performance, and Social/Family domains across Component Commands and Theater Special Operations Commands.

HOW AN OPERATIONS MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Provide day-to-day contractor coordination at assigned sites; track roster status, absences, and workload handoffs against continuity standards.

Support the PMO to manage the cost, schedule, and performance of the contract

Leads teams to define program’s staffing plans and executes all resource management requirements

Manages the initial screening/evaluation of candidate’s professional experience, education, and applicable certifications to ensure compliance with GDIT’s and the contract’s labor category requirements

Coordinate interviews of candidate personnel with hiring managers

Plan, analyze, and determine hiring needs based on attrition, surge, and emerging customer requirements

Serve as first-line monitor for vacancies and absences exceeding 15 consecutive workdays and escalate within the 24-hour window.

Feed Component staffing, credentialing, and vacancy data into the Program Management Tool (PMT) for near-real-time Government visibility.

Support the interview process for their respective components.

Maintain accurate PMT/roster entries for their site so credentialing status, clearances, and labor hours stay current.

Support onboarding logistics and local Government integration for incoming personnel.

Coordinate with Component leads, Government site representatives, and higher-level program management to maintain mission continuity and compliance with contract requirements.

Identify and mitigate operational risks related to staffing gaps, credentialing delays, or administrative bottlenecks.

Ensure adherence to all applicable Statement of Work (SOW) requirements, security protocols, and reporting standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree

7 or more years’ experience in operations, program management, or military support roles considered.

Prior experience supporting DoW/USSOCOM or similar large-scale human performance / embedded support contracts strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage rosters, track personnel status, and maintain accurate data systems under tight timelines.

Strong organizational, communication, and escalation skills; ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

Familiarity with credentialing, security clearance processes, and labor-hour tracking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with POTFF, H2F, or comparable SOF human performance programs.

Prior military or contractor support experience with USSOCOM Components (USASOC, MARSOC, AFSOC, NSW, JSOC, TSOCs).

Proficiency with personnel management tools, staffing databases, and real-time reporting systems.

CLEARANCE: Secret or Top-Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain clearance.

LOCATION: Various OCONUS & CONUS SITES

This is a contingent posting, expected to start in 2027.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
