Higginsville Habilitation Center (HHC) is recruiting for a Human Resource Manager for the Personnel Office, domiciled in Higginsville, to be a part of a highly effective team that supports over 300 employees, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports 40+ individuals receiving 24/7 services in a group home setting.

Human Resource Manager must be detailed orientated, work well with others, have good time management skills, possess leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer programs, possess skill in operating office equipment and willing to travel.

A thorough understanding of federal, state and local employment laws.

Navigating sensitive personnel issues objectively while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Excellent communication skills and ability to provide guidance to other employees and supervisors.

Fostering a positive workplace culture, managing conflict, ensuring clear communication, and nurturing mutual trust between all staff.

Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed)

Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

SALARY:

$79,737.36 annually or $3,322.39 per pay period

SCHEDULE:

Scheduled to work 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with Saturday and Sunday as days off, flexible as needed.
