A direct report to the CEO, Singapore. Responsibilities will include development of the technical support & strategy, growth of the business unit, service delivery and leadership of a team of adjusters. At all times act as an ambassador of the Sedgwick vision, strategy and behavioural values. This role includes conducting full lifecycle analysis of claims, physical site visits, general marketing and business development amongst clients.
Duties and responsibilities:
Manages an appropriate file/ claims load of claims and seeks to achieve a high standard of professional work at all times
Conducting thorough investigations, determining coverage and validity of claims, interviewing and communicating with insured, claimants and witnesses
Examines insurance policies and other documents to determine coverage
Negotiates claims settlements in line with client contracts
Prepares report of findings and negotiates settlement with client
Responds to Insureds, Carriers & Brokers in a timely manner within Sedgwick’s KPI
To render technical advice as and when needed by team members
To assist the company in business development and marketing as assigned
Provides support, guidance, and motivation to promote maximum performance
To achieve key target performance
Ensure technical accuracy of the highest standard and produce reports of the highest quality.
To develop and build further client relationships, partnerships, associations and alliances to further the profitable growth and developments of all areas of the business
Contribute to maintenance of best practice procedures for claims, consistent with Sedgwick’s quality standards and best practice
Any such reasonable duties within the general scope
Ensure compliance with operation, CR and H&S procedures and policies, and respond appropriately when required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or holds ACLA, CILA, CIP, ANZIIF certification
Previous experience in a similar position is essential, ideally from a business operating in similar markets.
Minimum 3 years of leadership/ managerial experience
Understanding of the insurance industry is required
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to drive change and improve operational efficiency within HR, including experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
