The role

This varied role works across business-as-usual recruitment, organisational change programs and high-profile projects. You’ll support a broad range of client groups, occupations and workforce challenges.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end recruitment, supporting fair, capability-based hiring in a fast-paced project environment. You’ll also work across our broader recruitment portfolio and partner with key client groups.

You’ll use contemporary tools, targeted sourcing strategies and practical advice to help hiring managers make confident decisions and support internal and external candidates throughout the process. By building strong relationships with candidates, managers and external partners, you’ll help create a smooth, transparent and compliant recruitment experience.

You’ll work flexibly across divisions with different needs while keeping pace with evolving recruitment practice. Staying adaptable, using data to improve our approach and helping managers follow consistent, compliant processes will be central to your success. Whether you’re managing talent pools, refining reporting, supporting an interview or finding better ways of working, you’ll help make recruitment simpler and more positive for everyone involved.

What you will bring to the role

Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and bring diverse groups together to achieve shared outcomes.

A collaborative approach, with the confidence to keep work moving while involving stakeholders and building shared commitment.

The ability to guide and support hiring managers through capability-based recruitment so they can make fair, informed decisions aligned with GSE requirements.

An analytical mindset, using recruitment data, reporting tools and insights to improve processes, identify trends and make evidence-based recommendations.

Experience managing multiple recruitment processes at once while maintaining accuracy, transparency and compliance across high-volume, end-to-end campaigns.

A proactive approach to building relationships across government agencies, external partners and internal teams to strengthen talent pipelines and promote DPHI as an employer of choice.

Key knowledge and experience

Demonstrated recruitment experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS); experience with PageUp is highly desirable. However not required as we’ll support you’ll learning

A sound understanding of the GSE Rules is highly desirable.

Microsoft Excel skills are desirable.
