Are you an experienced Technical Project Manager with a passion for driving complex technology programmes to successful delivery? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where coordination, planning and stakeholder management are critical to success?

We're looking for a Technical Project Manager to play a key role in Project Falcon, helping deliver a major SAP S/4HANA transformation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a large-scale enterprise change initiative, coordinating technical delivery across multiple teams, suppliers and business functions.

The Opportunity

As Technical Project Manager, you'll be responsible for translating programme milestones into practical technical delivery plans and ensuring successful execution across your assigned scope.

You'll work closely with technical specialists, business stakeholders, testing teams, infrastructure, security and external partners to keep delivery on track, manage dependencies and risks, and ensure readiness for critical programme milestones including testing, deployment, cutover and go-live.

This role is all about driving delivery, enabling collaboration and maintaining control across a complex technical landscape.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering Technical Change

Create and maintain delivery plans aligned to programme milestones and stage gates

Coordinate technical activities across multiple teams, ensuring clear ownership and accountability

Track progress, manage actions and proactively remove delivery blockers

Hold internal teams and suppliers accountable for agreed commitments

Managing Risks & Dependencies

Own and maintain technical risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies

Identify and escalate potential delivery impacts early

Assess the impact of technical changes and provide informed recommendations

Drive resolution of cross-functional technical challenges

Leading Cross-Team Coordination

Bring together business, technical and supplier teams to ensure seamless delivery

Coordinate activities across integration, infrastructure, environments, security, data migration and testing

Ensure technical deliverables are sequenced effectively to support SIT, UAT, cutover and go-live activities

Promote transparent communication and effective handovers between teams

Readiness, Testing & Deployment

Support planning and readiness activities across the programme lifecycle

Challenge unrealistic plans, hidden dependencies and delivery risks

Coordinate environment readiness, integration support and defect resolution activities

Prepare and validate readiness evidence for deployment, cutover and hypercare

Work alongside Test Managers and Release/Cutover teams to support successful execution

Governance & Reporting

Produce clear, concise reporting for programme leadership

Highlight milestone confidence, key risks, issues and decisions required

Support governance forums and assurance reviews

Contribute to service transition, operational handover and lessons learned activities

About You

You'll be a confident and organised project professional who can bring structure and clarity to large-scale technical programmes.

You will be:

Delivery-focused and results-driven

Excellent at managing risks, dependencies and competing priorities

An accomplished communicator who can influence stakeholders at all levels

Comfortable working across matrix organisations and supplier environments

Methodical, proactive and highly organised

Resilient under pressure and able to navigate complex challenges

Skilled at turning technical plans into measurable delivery outcomes

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

Significant project management experience delivering technology-enabled business transformation programmes

Considerable experience coordinating technical workstreams in complex enterprise environments

Proven track record managing risks, dependencies, milestones and delivery readiness

Experience supporting SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare activities

Experience working with internal technical teams, suppliers and systems integrators

Demonstrable stakeholder management and governance experience

Ability to operate successfully within structured programme delivery frameworks

Desirable Experience

SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC programme experience

ERP transformation delivery experience

Experience within manufacturing, logistics, construction materials or other operationally intensive industries

Exposure to data migration, integration, infrastructure and service transition activities

Qualifications

Degree qualified in Technology, Engineering, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar project management certification preferred

Additional technical or IT service management qualifications would be beneficial

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a high-profile SAP S/4HANA transformation programme that will shape the future of the business. You'll work alongside experienced programme and technology professionals, influence key delivery outcomes and play a critical role in ensuring successful programme execution.
