About the role
Medwell is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Healthcare Administrator to join our team at Brentmed in Benoni. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with elderly residents and a multidisciplinary care team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing debtors and creditors administration, stock control, general office administration, housekeeping coordination, payroll and agency administration, and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the facility.

Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric).
Relevant qualification in Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field will be advantageous.
Minimum of 2–3 years' administrative experience.
Experience working with Sage Accounting is essential.
Experience with debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and stock administration.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Experience in a healthcare, retirement, or frail care environment will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Debtors Administration
Invoice clients using Sage Accounting.
Perform debt collection and follow up on outstanding accounts.
Process receipts accurately.
Verify the accuracy of information received.
Ensure debtor contracts are in place.
Prepare quotations for services.
Maintain accurate filing systems.
Creditors Administration
Process supplier invoices on Sage Accounting.
Reconcile creditor accounts.
Verify orders received and ensure correct billing.
Order stock as required.
Maintain creditor filing.
Stock Control
Conduct periodic stock counts.
Process stock invoices.
Follow up on stock shortages and discrepancies.
Manage resident stock.
General Administration
Perform additional administrative duties as required.
Assist with planning and coordinating events.
Support the management and administration of Fieldmed.
Submit timesheets to payroll departments and agencies.
Ensure weekly agency staff attendance registers are submitted.
Housekeeping Management
Supervise housekeeping staff.
Ensure equipment is maintained and in good working order.
Coordinate housekeeping staff training on chemicals and cleaning procedures.
Conduct hygiene inspections throughout the facility.
Prepare monthly housekeeping staff allocations.
Assist with housekeeping schedules.
Kitchen Coordination
Liaise with the Kitchen Service Manager regarding:
Meal schedules
Quality of meals
Detailed job description to be provided on request.
Work hours: Monday to Friday 07:00am to 16:00pm.
Salary: R15 000.00 to R18 000.00 per month
