Details: The Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) delivers a broad range of health and human services to support the wellbeing of the ACT community and ensure the public health system meets current and future needs. Within HCSD, the Inclusion Division brings together four dedicated teams focused on strengthening community connections and participation for all Canberrans, including people from culturally diverse backgrounds, young people, women and families. The division works closely with community and government to build capability, deliver services and provide early support for children and families, while leading important reforms that improve social outcomes across the ACT.

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Branch Manager to lead the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Branch. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to drive reform, shape policy and improve outcomes for individuals and communities affected by domestic, family and sexual violence.

In this role you will provide strategic advice to the Minister, lead major reform initiatives and deliver on ACT and national priorities. You will oversee complex programs and long-term strategies, represent the ACT in intergovernmental forums and build strong partnerships across government and the community sector. You will also play a key role in strengthening relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders to support Closing the Gap commitments.

You will lead a high performing team with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation and staff wellbeing, while ensuring sound governance and evidence-based decision making.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate proven executive leadership with the ability to set clear direction, influence stakeholders and deliver results in complex environments. You will bring sound judgement, integrity and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for the community, along with the ability to build trusted relationships and lead meaningful change.

This role is an existing Executive position with established core responsibilities, which may over time to incorporate additional functions and business areas in line with organisational priorities and consultation outcomes.

All ACTPS Senior Executive Service members are required to exercise the functions of their position in accordance with the closing the gap principle ACT Closing the Gap Implementation Plan - ACT Government Transparency Portal

Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $296,877 - $306,035 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $261,668.

Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long-term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
