Electrician (QC)
About the role
We're hiring a QC Electrician to take ownership of electrical quality and compliance across projects in the south-west of Ireland. You'll be the person who verifies that installations are right, documented, and signed off to standard before handover - a role for an experienced electrician who takes pride in getting the detail correct.
Responsibilities
Carry out quality control inspections on electrical installations across live sites
Verify workmanship and materials against project specifications and standards
Complete test and inspection documentation, and issue certification packs
Raise, track and close out snag lists with site teams and subcontractors
Support commissioning activities and witness testing where required
Identify recurring defects and feed corrective actions back to installation crews
Enforce electrical safety standards and safe systems of work on site
Liaise with project managers, engineers and clients on quality matters
Requirements
Recognised electrical qualification
Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience
Working knowledge of current Irish electrical standards
Confident carrying out testing, inspection and certification
Strong attention to detail and clear written documentation
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the south-west
Safe Pass and Manual Handling (or willing to obtain)
Nice to Have
Safe Electric registration
Previous experience in a dedicated QA/QC or commissioning role
Background in water/wastewater, utilities or industrial projects
Familiarity with digital QA systems and reporting tools
Additional certification such as confined space or LV switching
