Apprentice Electrician

As an Apprentice Electrician with Sleater Solutions, you will complete two complementary 4-year apprenticeship programmes simultaneously, giving you the technical skills, qualifications and experience to build a rewarding career in the electrical industry.

What You'll Achieve

1. Sleater Solutions Ltd. Electrical Apprenticeship Programme

Our structured in-house apprenticeship program provides comprehensive on-the-job training, supported by regular assessments and mentoring from experienced electricians.

Throughout the 4-year fixed term programme, you will:

Develop practical electrical skills through real-life projects.

Gain experience across a wide variety of electrical builds, installations, maintenance, fault-finding and problem resolution activities.

Work on a diverse range of projects and locations both in Ireland and Internationally, (e.g. UK, France, Saudi Arabia, etc.).

Earn a Certificate in Electrical Craft Skills from Sleater Solutions Ltd.

2. SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship

Alongside your Sleater Solutions apprenticeship, you will complete the nationally recognised SOLAS Electrical Apprenticeship, a 4-year, 7-phase programme combining employer-based training with classroom learning. On successful completion, you will achieve a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft – Electrical from SOLAS.

Working with Sleater Solutions Ltd.

The apprenticeship is based on 4-year fixed term period, working on average 39-hours per week, typically 5 days out of 7 days. Due to the nature of our work, flexibility is essential and depending on project/client requirements, you may be required to work/travel evenings, nights, weekends or Sundays, including responding to emergency breakdowns. Travel is an essential part of the role, both within Ireland and internationally. Applicants must hold a valid passport and be willing to travel when required. A full driving licence is desirable.
