Project Manager 2 - Healthcare Strategic Enterprise Solutions (SES) Team - Remote

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Project Manager to join our amazing culture in the Strategic Enterprise Solutions (SES) Team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned healthcare projects, including planning, scheduling, directing, managing field installation, start-up, and close out of assigned projects. Ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost, time schedules and ensure positive cash flow. In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

Manages all aspects of assigned healthcare projects (typically valued up to $5M) from award through completion, including site management, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.

Serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaborates with local Convergint Project Managers, Customers, and Program Managers to align on project goals and support execution.

Develops and manages project installation plans in coordination with local teams, including implementation of job execution strategies.

Maintains accurate records of job status, material flow, change orders, and other documentation to support internal and external reporting.

Identifies project risks and implements strategies to mitigate them, minimizing cost deviations and schedule delays.

Partners with technical subject matter experts to create necessary project documentation, including runbooks and execution plans.

Oversees project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.

Regularly communicates project progress, schedules, and changes to stakeholders, with a focus on enhancing customer satisfaction.

Ensures compliance with scope of work, delivery standards, quality control, and customer-specific requirements.

Acts as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint is the customer’s first choice for service.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

Project management experience related to healthcare projects in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, electronic security systems and AV systems).

Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization.

Team leadership, team building and facilitation skills.

Shows initiative – engages in proactive behavior and looks for opportunities.

Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions; solid conflict resolution skills.

Financial analytical skills including cost control.

Basic ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members.

Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills.

Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principles.

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field

Minimum Experience: 10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management

Preferred Experience:

Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation and/or AV systems

Healthcare projects experice strongly preferred

Previous project supervisory experience

Certifications & Licenses: Project Management Institute (PMI) certification; industry-specific certifications and/or licenses; must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
