Day to Day

As a Software Engineer I at Indeed, you will contribute to the design and development of software that supports shared infrastructure and services used across the company. You’ll work with other engineers and cross-functional partners to build reliable, scalable solutions, participate in code reviews to uphold high engineering standards, and grow your technical skills. You’ll have opportunities to learn about AI models, tools, and their applications as Indeed responsibly explores how AI can help people get jobs.

This role offers the chance to work with modern technologies, leveraging AI assisted software development tools, while helping remove technical barriers for teams across Indeed and supporting experimentation at scale.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable, reliable features aligning with industry best practices

Collaborate with Software Engineers and cross-functional partners including Product Managers, Site Reliability Engineers to deliver well-designed solutions.

Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.

Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and best practices in software engineering.

Skills/Competencies

Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Java, or similar)

Accelerate code delivery by utilizing approved LLM tools

Operate autonomously in a remote environment with minimal guidance

Passion to learn and develop new skills continuously

Salary Range Transparency

Tier 3 - India 2,020,000 - 3,240,000 INR per year
