About the role

Your role

To support our team in the field of Gearboxes, we are looking for a motivated Development Design Engineer (m/f/d) . In this position, you will report to the Teamleader Gearbox Development.

Essentially, the position includes the following challenges:

Prepare gearbox concepts and cost effective designs considering welded and casted gearboxes.

Prepare bearing design concepts and bearing calculations.

Prepare CAD models of compressor core units, subsystems or components.

Perform detailed engineering calculations related to the systems or components.

Prepare technical specifications of systems or components, lead technical clarifications with vendors, assist purchasing department in evaluation of quotations.

Prepare and assist with development of detailed cost models for complete gearbox/bearings

Attend design reviews and project team meetings.

Maintain an assigned schedule.

Maintain accurate and well-organized design records.

Assist in generating documents for sales and applications, core assembly or as needed for new developed products.

To succeed, you will need

Bachelor or Master Degree in mechanical engineering.

Experience in order handling of compressors used in process gas industries is an advantage.

Capable of creative, outside-the-box thinking, willing to pursue new ideas.

Familiar with related international standards for turbomachinery, such as API, ATEX, IEC, etc.

Experience in design activities using 3D - CAD software.

Good team player, willing to cooperate with other departments.

Willing to constantly develop professionally and adapt to changing situations.
