Janitor

Job Description:

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Janitorial Team Member to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

Follow all health and safety regulations per Terex policies.

Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.

Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

Operate floor scrubber and sweeper to maintain the facility floors.

Gather and empty trash.

Service and supply restrooms.

Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.

Prepare cleaning solutions according to established procedures and specifications.

Follow proper procedures when using chemical cleaners and powered cleaning equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and equipment.

Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

Process trash removal and corrugated scraps with a compactor.

Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of custodial, janitorial, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.

Experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, and forklifts..

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
