Job Summary

The Crewing Intern will support the Crewing Department in both operational and digitalization initiatives, gaining exposure to maritime workforce management, data analytics, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance Crewing Power BI dashboards to support manpower planning, crew deployment tracking, cadet management, and management reporting.

Analyze crewing data and create meaningful visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.

Assist in the digitalization and automation of crewing processes, forms, and workflows using Microsoft 365 tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms, and SharePoint.

Support the administration and review of the crew appraisal module and related records.

Assist in the administration and monitoring of Officer Performance Reports (OPR).

Administer crew feedback forms, consolidate responses, analyze trends, and share with crew manager.

Review and improve existing crewing forms and processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Coordinate logistics and schedules for Top 4 Pre-Joining Briefings for senior officers.

Assist in preparing Quarterly Management Review (MRM) reports and management presentations.

Support reviews and updates of Crew Management Manual (CMM) procedures.

Attend departmental meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

Support crew engagement activities, Long Service Awards, and other crewing initiatives as assigned.

Key Requirements

Currently pursuing a degree in Maritime Studies, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.

Strong interest in shipping operations, crewing, and digital transformation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and Microsoft Forms.

Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

High attention to detail and professionalism when handling confidential crew information.

Education

Bachelors in Maritime Studies or Information Technology
