A day in the life of a Merchandising Manager – Apparel at Vans looks a little like this:

The Merchandising Manager for Apparel will lead the execution of seasonal product strategies, ensuring alignment with global and regional objectives. This role acts as a key consumer advocate, refining assortments based on market trends and insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product creation and go-to-market strategies while analyzing business performance to optimize sales and margins.

Drive the execution of the seasonal product strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional business objectives

Act as a key consumer advocate, leveraging insights and market trends to refine assortments and influence product decisions.

Manage seasonal line plans, ensuring a balanced assortment that meets financial targets while maintaining brand consistency.

Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Design, Development, Planning, Marketing, and Sales) to drive product creation, commercialization, and go-to-market strategies.

Analyze business performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and recommending in-season actions to drive sales and margin.

Mentor and lead Associate Merchandisers, fostering skill development and ensuring smooth execution of merchandising deliverables.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising in the apparel industry.

Strong understanding of market trends and consumer insights.

Proven ability to manage and execute seasonal line plans.

Excellent analytical skills with a focus on business performance optimization.

Strong leadership and team mentorship capabilities.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Hiring Range: $108,000.00 USD - $135,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
