Description and Requirements

Roles & Responsibilities

Lead battery firmware (FW) specification definition, design, and New Product Introduction (NPI) management.

Measure, evaluate, and optimize battery FW performance.

Prepare and maintain development status reports, design documentation, and engineering documents.

Manage projects with PC ODM/OEM partners and battery suppliers for Lenovo and NECPC products.

Drive root cause analysis and problem resolution for issues during NPI and mass production (MP).

Key Interactions

Collaborate with Battery and System Development teams across Yokohama, Yonezawa, China, Taiwan, and the United States.

Work closely with domestic and international battery firmware development partners.

Coordinate with battery pack suppliers and key component vendors, including cell, MPU, and safety device suppliers.

Interface with PC ODM partners supporting Lenovo and NECPC product development.

Must-Have Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience as a function owner in the development of electrical devices for mass production.

Hands-on experience in battery-related product development.

3–4+ years of engineering experience.

Business-level or higher proficiency in Japanese.

Business-level or higher proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in notebook PC design and/or battery BMU (Battery Management Unit) board design.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

TOEIC score of 600 or above.
