The successful candidate will leverage their scientific expertise and experience with LC/MS and automation systems to help develop and demonstrate optimized automated workflow solutions that improve data quality and increase sample throughput while decreasing time-to-results and labor costs. As a Scientist, the candidate will be an integral part of the Automation Platform Applications team who will be responsible for:

contributing to the development of new automation instruments, improvements of existing automated workflows, and translation of manual sample preparation methods into automated sample prep applications on Bravo platforms such as the AssayMAP Bravo which in combination with analytical instruments (e.g., LC/MS) will enable complete automated workflows.

creating application notes in collaboration with business partners and customers to demonstrate the benefits of the automated workflow and help customers adopt the applications for routine use.

providing scientific input to the development of intuitive user interfaces so bench scientists and technicians can use the applications without becoming automation experts.

defining, documenting, and executing functional test cases that verify the performance of sample preparation applications to ensure out of the box operation.

collaborating with technical writers to create comprehensive installation and user documentation.

working closely with cross-functional teams

supporting the resolution of customer-reported issues

Qualifications

Master or Ph.D. degree in biological/biochemical sciences or biomedical/chemical engineering

4+ years of relevant experience including hands-on experience using automated liquid handlers and LC/MS analysis of large molecules including proteins, peptides, and ideally oligos.

Possess strong communication skills and be willing to present their work to customers in a variety of settings

Work independently and be self-motivated but also contribute to the success of multidisciplinary teams

Experience with biotherapeutic drug discovery/development and product development is strongly desired

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $128,928.00 - $201,450.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
